This is fast-paced, funny, time-travelling, historical fiction for the ultimate escapist who has ever wanted to be landed in the thick of it rather than reading about it from a book (or hearing about it from their teacher!). I can’t praise this series enough, and there’s plenty to go round. I started reading Jodi Taylor’s series because the first e-book was on offer and why the hell not. Now I am completely hooked. The first one should come with a warning. So the chaos inducing Max, the friendships, the constantly changing terrain, and the zipping through time is quite addictive to say the least. Get ready for some spine tingling near misses, and to open your mind. This is the St Marys Institute of Historical Research.
