#booktrailerreview The Night Circus (Erin Morgenstern) by Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group

by Doubleday

Review:

I found the official book trailer from the publishing group to have intrigue, mystery, allure, and style. The producer has kept it short and punchy – direct and without spoilers. However I also feel that this trailer doesn’t do the book enough credit. After all, this is a story about old magicians having a contest, manipulating their prodigies in a magical battle and betting the ultimate price. It is a story of love- the love of mystery, of believing in magic, of the sensational, and friendship. It is full of richly woven characters and relationships, and places.

This trailer is a net for interest, for capturing the imagination of the book world and for sprinkling a taster of the books atmosphere.

Review:

I have compared Doubleday’s trailer with one by “BookTrailers” as I feel this second one gives a greater impression of the story.

The producer of this trailer has a passion for this book and the richness of its content however it lacks the finesse and quality of the official book trailer.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is a masterpiece of sparkling characters and dazzling circus acts. Please read my review here.
